SYNOPSIS
In a small Alpine community, two teenagers spend the summer suspended between the excitement of childhood and the responsibilities of growing up. They plan to spend this summer, and those to come, having fun together.
Over the winter, however, Daniele learns that Giacomo will be leaving with his family, never to return. Something between them fractures, and their final winter together transforms their relationship, testing everything they believed would never change.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES
This film grew out of documentary research I began in 2020 on the Asiago Plateau, where I was born and raised. In the stories told by the residents of Cesuna, themes of departure and separation kept recurring: friends and relatives who had emigrated, ties left suspended between the village and distant places. I chose to explore this memory through the eyes of two teenagers today, at a moment when the end of childhood coincides with the very real possibility of losing one another.
The film was developed in collaboration with the community and performed by non-professional actors, in the places and relationships that shape their everyday lives. The screenplay remained open to rehearsals and to their experiences; my direction sought a perspective that could observe them without intruding, allowing each shot the time to hold gestures, silences and transformations.
